XBee Studio requires additional drivers to update the modems of XBee 3 Cellular devices. If you have not installed them, use the following instructions to do so depending on the devices you want to program.

This step is only required if you are programming the modem of XBee 3 Cellular LTE CAT 1, XBee 3 Cellular LTE-M/NB-IoT, or XBee 3 Global LTE Cat 1 devices.

Note that this is only available for Windows.

Drivers for XBee 3 Cellular LTE CAT 1

  1. Go to the Telit drivers page.

  2. Select the Telit Windows Desktop Drivers Installer.

  3. Run the executable file.

  4. Follow the steps in the installation wizard.

Drivers for XBee 3 Cellular LTE-M/NB-IoT

  1. Download the u-blox drivers.

  2. Uncompress the file and run the executable.

  3. Follow the steps in the installation wizard.

  4. After driver installation completes, reboot your computer.

Drivers for XBee 3 Global LTE Cat 1

  1. Download the Thales drivers.

  2. Uncompress the file and run the executable.

  3. Follow the steps in the installation wizard.

  4. After driver installation completes, reboot your computer.

If you are using Windows 7, we highly recommend that you disable the drivers installation from Windows Update in order to speed up the modem update process.
