In XCTU, once you add or discover an XBee device you have to click it in order to inspect or modify its configuration, which is based on multiple AT settings organized in different categories. In this view, you can read and/or write one or multiple settings, set the default values, update the device firmware, or apply a configuration profile.

On the other hand, XBee Studio has separate views for settings, firmware update, and profile update.

To access the settings view from the device browser you can hover over your XBee device to display the quick access menu and then click the Open Settings button, or click your device and then click Settings in the left menu.

For more information about the settings, see Settings.

In addition to the settings view, XBee Studio includes several quick actions in the device dashboard that allow you to quickly perform frequent operations on your device in a more graphical way without having to know all the AT settings that take part in those operations.

For more information about the available quick actions, see Quick actions.
