Digi ConnectCore Cloud Services enable OEMs in a wide range of industries to create connected devices with remote-dashboard, -service and -application capabilities using Digi ConnectCore system-on-modules (SOMs).
Digi OEM Cloud Services Pay-Per-Use (PPU) program
Digi OEM Cloud Services PPU program is the monthly pay-per-use program that applies to any Digi ConnectCore SOM that supports ConnectCore Cloud Services and is not sold as a bundle. All ConnectCore Cloud Services features are included.
In the OEM Cloud Services PPU program, you are charged a maximum of $1 per month per active device, with the exception of web service and device data traffic which are invoiced at a rate of $0.15 per megabyte (MB) overage.
The duration of Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services is a total of 5 years for each bundled device. Once that period has passed, those bundled devices automatically begin to operate as devices subscribed to the Digi OEM Cloud Services PPU program, requiring neither renewal nor downtime.
Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services program
Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services are a subset of cloud functionality included along with selected system-on-module (SOM) platforms — such as the ConnectCore 95 — designed to enable you to have the fundamental capability to reliably, securely, and remotely monitor, manage, and maintain a fleet of devices already deployed in the field. This functionality accelerates time-to-market, streamlines remote device management, and helps meet cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
You can leverage this functionality via the user interface (UI) of our cloud platform, Digi Remote Manager, its corresponding APIs, and the Digi ConnectCore Quick Setup mobile application.
The main functionalities included in the hardware and services bundle are cloud connectivity and remote over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates.
Bundled devices have access to all functionalities provided by Digi ConnectCore Cloud Services. This means that access to and visibility of all functionality is unrestricted, including that which is not part of Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services. Everything is visible, accessible, and usable.

What is the duration of Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services?
The duration of Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services is a total of five (5) years for each bundled device. Once that period has passed, bundled devices automatically begin to operate as devices subscribed to the PPU program, requiring neither renewal nor downtime, making the transition seamless and transparent.
Note that such a transition does not entail the creation of a new Digi Remote Manager account, so you do not need to provision the registered devices again nor reestablish the configurations previously made in the Remote Manager platform. Also, you do not need to modify previously implemented Remote Manager API calls.
When does the clock start ticking?
Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services begin upon the reading and acceptance of the program’s terms of service, following the first registration and connection of a bundled device to Digi Remote Manager. This is also referred to as an active device.
An active device is a device which has been registered in a Digi Remote Manager account, has made a connection, and passed along device information to Remote Manager at least once a month. Upon the connection and establishment of device ID under service, the device is an active device. To prevent a device from being billed, it is advisable to disconnect or deregister it from the Remote Manager account in question.
Each bundled device will have specific and exact start and end dates for the Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services program, depending on when it was first registered and connected to Remote Manager, always totaling five (5) years.
Terms of Service
Digi Remote Manager monitors the usage of selected functionalities but does not prevent their use. All functionalities are visible, accessible, and usable for active devices — that is, those that are registered and connected to the Remote Manager platform. This is the case regardless of whether or not a device is included in the Digi Essential ConnectCore Cloud Services bundle. Web service and device data traffic are also monitored.
Monthly billing is easy to manage and predictable. You will be charged a maximum of $1 per month per active device, regardless of which features not included in the bundle were used, how many times those features were used, or how many additional firmware updates were performed. An exception is web service and device data traffic, which will be invoiced at a rate of $0.15 per MB overage.
