The hardware unique key (HUK) is a symmetric encryption key stored in the OTP bits of the platform. The HUK is used as a derivative for other keys. This means you can use the same keys for encryption purposes and know that the keys cannot be used to access data on a different device, even if they are leaked.
Each chip has a unique HUK pre-provisioned by STMicroelectronics.
