View battery life using the CLI
You can check the battery life using the CLI.
Note You can also check battery life using Remote Manager. See View battery life for a device in Remote Manager.
- Connect to your device using the CLI. See Open a terminal program and use CLI commands for information about connecting your computer to the device and opening a terminal program.
- Press the Wake button and wait 5-10 seconds after the cellular LED starts blinking. When the cellular LED starts blinking, do either other of the following:
- Press Enter on the CLI connection while the LEDs are flashing to wake the CLI so that it will stay awake after the connection completes.
- Type status at the command prompt while the LEDs are flashing and before the connection completes, which can be around 20 seconds with a good cellular tower connection.
- Find the Battery Life field to see how much battery life remains. See status for information about all of the status information fields.
- When the process is complete, close the cover on the device. The cover snaps into place.
Note The Connect Sensor+ enclosure may require some force to close. This is intended as part of the design to ensure a robust seal in damp or dusty environments. For details about closing the Connect Sensor+ enclosure, see Closing the v2.
