This following automation workflow includes steps to upgrade modem firmware, back up DAL OS firmware, disable SureLink and SIM failover, upgrade the modem firmware bundle, and confirm successful upgrades.

Checks to see if the modem firmware has already been upgraded. If it has, no further action is taken.

Updates the DAL OS configuration settings you specify.

Pauses device activity to allow necessary processes to finish.

Creates a backup of the device’s operating system to ensure recovery.

Temporarily disables connectivity management features to prevent interference during the update.

Checks whether the modem is available and ready for interaction.

Introduces a wait period for modem to reboot and the system to stabilize.

Initiates the upgrade process for the required firmware bundle for all carriers.

Introduces another wait period for modem to reboot and the system to stabilize.

Final step confirming the entire process has been completed and is modem is stable.
