Step 5: Power the Z45 Controller

The Z45 Controller immediately powers up when it is plugged into a main power supply.

  1. Make sure the power supply is connected to the Z45 Controller. See Step 2: Wire a power supply to the Z45 Controller and power the device.

  2. Plug the power supply into a main power supply. The Z45 Controller automatically powers on and boots up. The LED lights on the device run through a start-up process. Generally this process takes one minute to complete.

    • LAN: The LAN LED flickers to show communication with your computer.

    • Service: The Service LED is solid once a cellular connection has been made to a cell tower. If you are using an Ethernet connection to an internal network instead of a cellular connection, a solid LED means the Z45 Controller is connected to the network.

    • Link: The Link LED is solid once the Z45 Controller has an IP address from the network.
