Step 5: Power the RMS Z45
The RMS Z45 is immediately powered up when it is plugged into a main power supply.
-
Plug the power supply into a main power supply. The RMS Z45 automatically powers on and boots up. The LED lights on the RMS Z45 run through a start-up process. Generally this process takes one minute to complete.
-
LAN: The LAN LED flickers to show communication with your computer.
-
Service: The Service LED is solid once a cellular connection has been made to a cell tower. If you are using an Ethernet connection to an internal network instead of a cellular connection, a solid LED means the RMS Z45 is connected to the network.
Note If you are using a cellular connection and the LED is not solid after a minute, your radio provisioning may need to be updated from the default.
-
Link: The Link LED is solid once the RMS Z45 has an IP address from the network.
-
NEXT STEP: Proceed to Step 6: Close and lock the RMS Z45 enclosure.
