Your TX40 device can be configured to use the following location sources:

Dead reckoning, by using an external USB GNSS receiver. External dead reckoning USB GNSS receivers are available to be purchased separately from Digi.
- The modem's internal Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) module that provides information about the current location of the device.

User-defined static location.
- Location messages forwarded to the device from other location-enabled devices.
You can also configure your TX40 device to forward location messages, either from the TX40 device or from external sources, to a remote host. Additionally, the device can be configured to use a geofence, to allow you to determine actions that will be taken based on the physical location of the device.
