ATEX Directive compliance

IMPORTANT This information applies only to the IX30-00G4: Digi IX30 LTE Cat 4 Global router.

 

Digi complies with ATEX directives to ensure a safe working environment when working with equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres. The IX30 device is compliant to the ATEX Directive under Certification UL 22 ATEX 2585X.

Special conditions for safe user

The equipment shall be used only in an area of not more that pollution degree 2, as defined in EN/IEC 60664-1.

The equipment shall be installed in an enclosure that provides a degree of protection not less than IP 54 in accordance with EN/IEC 60079-0 and only accessible by the use of a tool.

Transient protection shall be provided that is set at a level not exceeding 140% of the peak rated voltage value at the supply terminals to the equipment.

WARNING! Use 24-12 AWG 2-3-3- mm2 wire with a minimum temperature rating of 80º C (recommended 105º C) for connecting to terminal blocks. Torque all screws from 5 to 8 inches per pound.

WARNING! When connecting to the optional earth ground provided, use an insulated ring terminal for the #6 screw, and torque from 4.5 to 5 inches per pound.
