Configure power input voltage

The TX54-PR device supports multiple power voltage levels, and can be configured to respond to various ranges of power input.

Required configuration items

The required input voltage.

 

  Web

  1. Log into Digi Remote Manager, or log into the local Web UI as a user with full Admin access rights.
  2. Access the device configuration:

    1. Locate your device as described in Use Digi Remote Manager to view and manage your device.
    2. Click the Device ID.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Click to expand Config.

    1. On the menu, click System. Under Configuration, click Device Configuration.

      The Configuration window is displayed.

  3. Click System > Power.
  4. For Power voltage control, select one of the following options:
    • 12
      • Powers up if input power is above 11.5 volts.
      • Powers down if input power drops below 10.5 volts.
    • 24
      • Powers up if the input power is above 23 volts.
      • Powers down if the power drops below 21 volts.
    • 9-36
      • Powers up if the input power is above 8.5 volts.
      • Powers down if the input power drops below 8 volts.
  5. Click Apply to save the configuration and apply the change.
  1. Select the device in Remote Manager and click Actions > Open Console, or log into the TX54-PR local command line as a user with full Admin access rights.

    Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection menu. Type admin to access the Admin CLI.

  2. At the command line, type config to enter configuration mode:
    > config
(config)>
  3. At the config prompt, type:
    (config)> system power input_voltage value

    where value is one of:

    • 12
      • Powers up if input power is above 11.5 volts.
      • Powers down if input power drops below 10.5 volts.
    • 24
      • Powers up if the input power is above 23 volts.
      • Powers down if the power drops below 21 volts.
    • 9-36
      • Powers up if the input power is above 8.5 volts.
      • Powers down if the input power drops below 8 volts.

  4. Save the configuration and apply the change
    (config)> save
Configuration saved.

  5. Type exit to exit the Admin CLI.

    Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection menu. Type quit to disconnect from the device.
