Configure a serial port for Power Management

You can configure serial port on the EX12 to communicate with the power controller.

This is the port to which you will connect the power controller to the EX12 using a serial cable.

1. Log in to the web UI.
2. Click System > Serial Configuration.
3. Select Enable.
4. From the Mode list box, select the Power Management option.
5. In the Label field, enter a descriptive name for the port.
6. Expand the Serial Settings section. The entries in the following fields must match the information for the power controller. Refer to your power controller manual for the correct entries: Baud rate, Data bits, Parity, Stop bits, and Flow control.
7. Click Apply.
