Register a device

  1. In the Account dropdown, select the account to which you want to add the device, if it is not already selected.

    If you are creating a brand new Digi Remote Manager account, it is automatically selected for you.

  2. From the main menu, click Devices.
  3. Click Register Devices.

    The register devices wizard displays.

  4. Follow the appropriate procedure to register a single device or to register multiple devices at the same time.

    To register a single device:

    Tip The following procedure outlines scanning the QR code on the bottom of the device or the label that came with the device to populate the MAC Address and Default Device Identifier fields. Alternatively, you can manually add this information. If you do manually add the information, note that if your device has both a MAC address and IMEI number, use the MAC address.

    1. On the Single Device tab, click .

    2. Hold the label up to the camera and wait for the MAC Address and Default Device Identifier fields to populate.

    3. (Optional) In Device Name, add a unique name that will allow you to quickly identify this device in a list of devices.

    4. (Optional) In Group, select the group in which you want the device to belong.

    5. In Reseller, select the company from which this device was purchased.

    6. Click More Options to add additional Notes or Tags information.

    7. Click Add Device.

      The device is registered and appears in the Device list.

      If it does not appear in the list, click .

      It may take several minutes before the UI shows that the device is online.

    To register multiple devices at the same time:

    1. On the Multiple Devices tab, click Choose File.

      File Explorer opens. Browse and find the CSV file that has containing the information for all the devices you want to register.

    2. (Optional) Click to enable Update existing devices to update information for devices listed in the CSV file that have already been added to Remote Manager.

      If you are registering a device to a new account, you do not need to enable this option.

    3. Click Add Devices.

      The devices are registered and appear in the Device list.

      If they do not appear in the list, click .

      It may take several minutes before the UI shows that the devices are online.
