Step 1: Requirements

To start working with the ConnectCore 6UL and Yocto, you need the following items:

• A ConnectCore 6UL Development Kit

Verify that your kit contains the following components:

1	PCIe mounting kit

• A 64-bit Linux machine for application development and system customization, with at least:
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • 4 CPU cores
  • 100 GB of free disk space

Note For successful Digi Embedded Yocto projects, we recommend you use a Yocto Project-supported Ubuntu distribution. You can find Yocto Project-supported distributions in the Yocto Project system requirements at http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/2.2/ref-manual/ref-manual.html#intro-requirements.

• Additional components not included in the kit:
  • FAT-formatted microSD card
  • Ethernet cable (optional)
