Device excessive disconnects alarm

This alarm fires when a device disconnects from OEM Cloud too often.

From the Alarm Type drop-down in the Add Alarm dialog, select the Device excessive disconnects option for these fields to appear in the dialog.

Field Description
Device disconnects more than <x> times in <x> minutes Enter the maximum number of disconnects allowed during the specified time period. The time is measured in minutes. The default is 5 minutes.
Resets when device reconnects and stays connected for <x> minutes

Specify whether the alarm should automatically reset if the device is connected and remains connected for the specified time period. The time is measured in minutes. Options are:

  • Selected: The alarm is automatically reset. This is the default.
  • Deselected: The alarm is not automatically reset. You must manually reset the alarm each time it fires. See Reset an alarm.
Scope

Specify the devices that should be monitored for this alarm. Options are:

  • Group: Select the Group option and then select a device group. All of the devices in that group are monitored. Only one group can be selected.
  • Device: Select the Device option to display a list of all of the devices registered in OEM Cloud. Click the device that you want to monitor. Only one device can be selected.
