Configure network failover in Remote Manager
You can configure network failover in Remote Manager.
- Access Remote Manager and log in.
- Click the Device Management tab.
- From the list of devices, double-click on an XBee Gateway Cellular model device.
- Enable network failover.
- Click Advanced Configuration > Network Failover. The Network Failover page appears.
- Click the Failover enable: On option.
- Click Save to save your changes.
- Configure the Ethernet network connection.
- Click Ethernet (eth0) to configure the Ethernet settings.
- Complete the fields. See Ethernet Configuration page for information about the fields.
- Click Save to save your changes
- Configure a link test for the Ethernet network connection.
- Click Advanced Configuration > SureLink > SureLink eth0. The SureLink eth0 page appears.
- Complete the fields. See Ethernet SureLink settings for information about the fields.
Note When selecting the test type option, see Link integrity test options and failover for information about how each option works with failover.
- Click Save to save your changes.
- Configure the network priority. The Ethernet connection should have a higher priority. The cellular network connect is configured as a backup to an Ethernet connection.
- Click Ethernet (eth0). The Ethernet (eth0) page displays.
- In the Default route metric field, specify a metric.
- Click Save to save your changes.
- Click Mobile. The Mobile page displays.
- In the Default route metric field, specify a metric. The metric must have a higher value than the metric specified in the Ethernet (eth0) page to ensure that the cellular connection has a lower priority.
- Click Save to save your changes.
