Remove RealPort

RealPort can be removed from your computer using the RealPort Setup Wizard. Complete the following steps download and launch the Wizard, and then remove RealPort.

  1. Download the RealPort driver.

    1. Navigate to the Digi RealPort support page.
    2. Scroll down to the Product Resources section.
    3. From the Drivers & Patches section, click RealPort Driver. The RealPort Driver page displays.
    4. From the list box, select the appropriate Microsoft Windows OS option.
    5. Click the download option to download a .zip file.
    6. Open a Windows File Explorer window and display the downloaded file, and then extract the files to a location on your computer.
  2. Install the RealPort driver.

    1. Open a Windows File Explorer window and navigate to the location to which you extracted the RealPort driver files.
    2. Double-click on setup.exe. Installation must be done as an administrator. If needed, setup.exe automatically generates a prompt to elevate to administrator privileges.

      Note As an alternative, you can right-click on setup.exe and choose Run as administrator.

      The Digi RealPort Setup Wizard displays.

  3. Follow the prompts in the Digi RealPort Setup Wizard.
    1. In the Welcome page, select Remove an Existing Device.
    2. Click Next. The Select Device(s) to Remove page displays.
    3. From the list of devices, select the device that you want to remove, or click Select All to select all the devices.
    4. Click Next to remove the devices. A progress bar displays.
    5. When complete, click Finish.
