Connect the power supply to the RMS Z45

The power supply must be wired directly to the RMS Z45 using Pin 1 (negative terminal) and Pin 2 (positive terminal). You must also attach the wires to the power supply.

The power supply must be between 12 and 24 VDC. One end should have the two wires exposed and stripped.

Tools needed

You will need a flat head terminal block screwdriver to loosen and tighten the pins.

Note If you wire the power supply in backwards you will not harm the device. The RMS Z45 simply will not power on when plugged into the main power.

Step 1: Attach wires to the power supply

The RMS Z45 kit comes with a power supply unit and two wires: one black and one red.

  1. Use the screwdriver to loosen the screws for both pins on the power supply.

  2. Attach the wires to the power supply.

    • Attach one end of the red (positive) wire to the +V pin.

    • Attach one end of the black (negative) wire to the -V pin.

  3. Tighten the screws for both pins.

Step 2: Attach power supply to the RMS Z45

  1. Orient the RMS Z45 so the front of the device is facing you.

  2. Unplug and remove the lower Phoenix connector from the RMS Z45.

  3. Connect the wires.

    1. Use a flat head terminal block screwdriver to loosen the screws for Pin 1 and Pin 2.

    2. Connect the black (negative) wire to Pin 1 (negative terminal).

    3. Connect the red (positive) wire to Pin 2 (positive terminal).

    4. Tighten the screws for Pin 1 and Pin 2.

  4. Plug the lower Phoenix connector back into the RMS Z45.
