Send an SM/UDP ping message

Use the Ping command to verify that Remote Manager can successfully communicate over SM/UDP with a device. Ping sends a message to the device, and the device responds with an acknowledgment.

  1. Click Device Management > Devices.
  2. Select the device you want to set up for SM/UDP.
  3. Click More.
  4. Under the SM/UDP heading, click Send Message. The Send Message dialog appears.
  5. Select Ping. The SM/UDP Ping dialog appears.
  6. Click Send. The SM/UDP ping complete dialog will open to confirm success.
